How do I edit materials in TakeCost?

Learn how to update material details in your catalog, including names, factors, waste %, units, and colors.

You can manage and edit all your materials through the Catalog.

Steps to edit materials

  1. From your main screen, click Catalog on the left-hand side of the app.

  2. Inside Catalog, you’ll see your list of materials.

  3. Click on a material to edit details such as:

    • Name

    • Factors

    • Waste percentage

    • Units per

    • Colour

    • And more

  4. Save your changes.

Tip: Any updates you make here will be available when you create or edit assemblies.
