If your estimate contains dozens or even hundreds of line items, Tags make it much easier to organize, sort, and find related items.

What are Tags?

Tags let you assign a custom label to any cost item or scope. Once tagged, you can sort and group similar items together in your estimate.

Common examples include:

  • Exterior

  • Interior

  • Phase 1

  • Phase 2

  • Level 1

  • Roof

  • Masonry

  • Electrical

You can create any tag that fits the way you estimate projects.

How to Add a Tag

  1. Open your project and select or create a cost item.

  2. Enter a name in the Tags field.

  3. Save the item.

The tag is now associated with that item.

Organize Your Estimate

After multiple items have been tagged, you can sort your estimate by Tag to quickly group related work together.

This is especially useful for:

  • Organizing by trade

  • Separating project phases

  • Grouping work by floor or area

  • Creating cleaner, easier-to-review estimates

Instead of manually searching through a long list of items, sorting by tags keeps similar work together.
