What are Markup Tools?

Markup Tools let you visually annotate your drawings without affecting measurements or quantities.

They’re designed for reviewing plans, communicating with your team, and highlighting important details.

Available Markup Tools

You can access these from the Markup menu:

  • Pen (P)
    Draw freehand annotations

  • Highlighter (H)
    Highlight areas of the drawing

  • Text (T)
    Add typed notes anywhere on the plan

  • Callout (O)
    Add labeled callouts pointing to specific areas

  • Pencil (F)
    Sketch lighter, more precise freehand lines

  • Cloud (D)
    Draw cloud shapes to highlight sections or revisions

When should I use Markup Tools?

Use Markup Tools to:

  • Review drawings before takeoffs
