The Area tool is used to measure surface areas directly on your drawings.

It’s ideal for elements such as:

  • Floors

  • Concrete slabs

  • Walls (elevations)

  • Roofing areas

  • Landscaping or site areas

How it works

  • Click to start your shape

  • Continue clicking to define the perimeter

  • Press Esc to finish

📌 Areas are calculated automatically as you draw

When should I use the Area tool?

Use the Area tool when measuring anything that has surface coverage, such as:

  • Rooms or floor spaces

  • Slabs or pads

  • Wall or elevation areas

  • Any irregular or complex shapes

Pro Tip

For simple rectangular areas, turn on Box Mode to draw faster with just two clicks.
