I uploaded the wrong plan or drawing. How do I delete it?

Learn how to delete the wrong plan, drawing, folder, or project in TakeCost. Follow simple steps to remove single pages, entire folders, or permanently delete archived projects.

You can delete items at different levels depending on what you need removed.

Delete a single page (drawing)

  • Click the three dots (⋯) beside the page name

  • Select Delete

Delete a folder

  • Click the three dots (⋯) beside the folder name

  • Select Delete

  • This removes the folder and all pages inside it

Delete an entire project

  1. From the Take-offs page, click the three dots (⋯) beside the project

  2. Select Archive Project

  3. Go to Archive in the left-hand menu

  4. Click the three dots (⋯) beside the archived project

  5. Select Delete Project

💡 Tip: Archiving keeps your workspace clean while giving you a chance to permanently delete or restore projects later if needed.

Note: Deleting a project does not free up space for another project upload
