Hotkeys make working in TakeCost faster and more efficient. Here are some of the most useful shortcuts:
1. Continue a Measurement
Highlight an existing measurement or material in the Takeoff Quantities section.
Press N to add more.
2. Cut Out an Area
Highlight a measurement and press R to enter cutout mode.
Point by Point: For precise cutouts.
Box Mode: Toggle at the bottom of the screen (visible when a tool is active).
3. Finish Your Measurements
Press ESC or Enter after measuring to save it to the Takeoff Quantities section.
4. General Hotkeys
Undo: Ctrl + Z
Redo: Ctrl + Y
Delete a Measurement: Del
5. View All Hotkeys
Right-click on a measurement, or
Click the ? icon in the top-right corner of the drawings page.
