You can perform takeoffs from a survey or plan view, as long as the file can be scaled.

Steps to do takeoffs from a survey/plan view

  1. Upload your survey or plan view file into TakeCost.

  2. Scale the file so that your measurements are accurate.

  3. Once scaled, you can:

    • Calculate the area

    • Apply multiple overlays

    • Create an assembly that combines two measurements into one

Current limitations

  • This process is manual at the moment.

  • Our AI currently only works on exterior elevations, so survey/plan view takeoffs will not be automated.
