How do I edit the height when doing a linear measurement?

Set or change wall height in a linear measurement’s Properties and calculate wall area without redrawing.

You can add or change a wall height after drawing a linear measurement. Use its Properties panel to calculate wall surface area from the measured length.

Set or change the wall height

  1. Click the existing line on the drawing to open its Properties.

  2. Choose Wall at the top of the panel.

  3. Enter the Wall height, using the units shown in the field and a height from the project drawings.

  4. Click Done.

The wall surface area is calculated as length × wall height. You do not need to delete and redraw the line just to enter its height.

Choose what the line measures

  • Length: the measured run.

  • Wall: the run multiplied by wall height.

  • Volume: adds thickness to the calculation.

Check your drawing scale before measuring, and confirm the height against the relevant section or notes.
